Hello {firstname}!
Thank you for joining our {list} mailing list. We are excited that you have. If you have also registered for our Conference on November 23rd, that’s even better. We promise to keep you updated with any blogs we write and anything new we learn about the treatment of people behind bars and after release.
If you have not yet registered for the Conference, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. It’s easy to register, and you can pay any amount you choose. Even $1.00 works or nothing at all, if you have no access to funds. Click on the link to be taken to the registration page. https://www.prisons2partnerships.org/events/individual-event-registration
Of course, the more you contribute, the more it will ensure we can do the Conference again next year and offer honorariums again to our speakers that have recently been released.
With your help we can also continue providing our monthly zoom calls, which offer a loving and supportive space where formerly incarcerated people can connect with one another and with others who have learned what it takes to successfully stay free and with people who represent organizations that support people incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, and their families.
Our mission is huge, and we can use all the support we can get. As you know, it’s to create a shift in the culture by exposing people to the reality of incarceration and reentry, to the humanity of those impacted, and to programs and initiatives that are making a difference.
We want to expose as many people as we can to these things, which means we would love it if you also invite your friends and family to our Conference.
If you have already signed up, you are in for a treat. We are very pleased with the list of speakers we have. Just to mention a few: At 9 a.m. PST, we open with a former Landmark Forum Leader, David Cunningham, who has worked as a special education teacher and served as a Director of the Connecticut Justice for Children Collaboration and the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse. We also have Ronald Day–a Senior Vice President of the Fortune Society, (https://fortunesociety.org/), who has his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College. In addition, there is Abigail Lewis, Founding Executive Director of Golden Rule ReEntry, which is a trauma-informed organization that assists the formerly incarcerated by engaging the community. These are only three of our thirteen amazing speakers.
Again, thank you for joining our mailing list. We look to your participation.
