Karen Johnson

Karen was born in Tyler, TX but grew up in Dallas Tx area. Attended High School in Richardson, TX and graduated from college at University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Special Education K-12. She went on to receive a master’s degree in professional counseling at Argosy University in Dallas. Her counseling focus was on parenting and young adults. Karen assisted with seminars for Young People and Teens for 12 years in Landmark Education. She got interested in at risk teens and Juvenile Legal System when her son was incarcerated as a teen. Karen studied the juvenile legal system laws so that she could better assist her son in his legal battle. Now she is putting her energy into the prison system. Karen worked with Neal Abramson on a curriculum for newly released men using Neal’s book. Karen witnessed the changes in these men and wanted to bring more transformation to everyone involved in the prison system.
