Judy Flattery
Director
Judy Flattery is a board member of Prisons to Partnerships and leads the Speaker Selection Committee. Judy previously organized a conference entitled Behind Bars: Compassion & Reform in conjunction with the Southern California Secular Coalition, the Freethought Society, the American Humanist Association, and the Humanist Society of Santa Barbara (HSSB; of which she is the President).
Judy became curious about incarceration after receiving a letter from an incarcerated HSSB member. The ensuing correspondence led to her education, to organizing the conference, to hearing about programs that make a difference, and volunteering in 10 California State Prisons over the past 15 months with a goal of making a difference in all of them. Judy finds that time spent with incarcerated men and women who are committed to growth and development is precious and deeply rewarding.
Judy has a B.S in Chemical Engineering, a Masters in Business Administration, and is a certified Interior Designer in the State of California. Judy has participated in continuing education course with Landmark Education since 1981, and is committed to a world that works for everyone with no one and nothing left out. Judy is married, with 3 children and a grandson.
